I was delighted to see Matthew Mitcham from Australia win the gold medal in the 10m platform diving event at the Olympics. Even though NBC totally ignored the mother and boyfriend of the openly gay athlete, the interwebs seems to have helped out in that regard. It was a surprise for him to win the medal, and he was quite understandably elated. Congratulations to Matt from the USA!
