Hateful bigot Sally Kern continued her ride on the "victim" train the other day. Speaking on some random Christian radio station (of which there are legion in my home state of Oklahoma), the crazed state representative said this:

And people say, 'oh you're so brave, so heroic,' but I'm not, I'm just a sinner saved by grace and I was gripped with fear that day. I just said, 'Lord, what have I done?' It entered our mind but honestly, and I mentioned this in the book, the Saturday night when my husband and I sit down and really talked about this and prayed about it, when we asked ourselves the question, are we willing ot even lose our lives over this?"

The answer to your question, you revolting twat, is this: what you have done is what so many other Christian supremacists have done. You've made ridiculous accusations against whole swaths of people, all of which are demonstrably false to anyone interested in looking at the actual evidence rather than bitching and moaning about non-existend Christian persecution. Show me one Christian bigot who has been killed by a homosexual activist. There aren't any. But I can do a quick Google search and show you HUNDREDS of GLBT people, children and adults alike, who have been bullied, attacked, tortured, oppressed, and murdered by God's Gentle People (TM).

If there were any justice in the world, you'd lose what tiny bit of influence you have over the low-information bigoted population you represent, and continue your unwitting career as a lookalike for Aughra, the one-eyed seer from The Dark Crystal.

The former SNL cast member Victoria Jackson is seen here spouting off about Obama. She isn't funny, was never funny, and has clearly lost her mind. And she's gotten fat.

I love that she called Obama a communist? Because Karl Marx wrote the Communist Manifesto? And she's read 1984 by George Orwell twice? And the liberals control the media? Except for Fox News? And she's one of those people who phrase every statement like a question? You know? Because it makes you sound so smart and all?

If anything illustrates the intellectual poverty of American political discourse, this is it.

Birther spokescunt Orly Taitz implodes again

Dr. Orly Taitz, dentist and quasi-attorney, is the spokescunt for the birthers. The birthers are the right wing freaks who claim that Barack Obama is illegitimate because he was born in Kenya and not the United States. These people believe this preposterous lie despite having been provided with Obama's birth certificate from Hawaii. They have even gone so far as to fabricate Kenyan birth certificates... not realizing of course that the Republic of Kenya didn't exist until December 1964... ten months after Obama's birthday. Oops. But then again, no one ever accused the birthers of being a bunch of Rhodes scholars. It should be mentioned that Taint... er... Taitz... is Russian. Interesting, no? It has also been mentioned that she was admitted to the California bar after completing an online training program through William Howart Taft University, an unaccredited distance learning school. She is not a member of the American Bar Association, and the "degree" she received through Taft allows her, at best, to practice only in the state of California.

The clip above shows the sheer lunacy of what the Republican party has become. It's sad, really, that the party of Lincoln has aligned itself so closely with people who are clearly unbalanced.

Finally, I think the pictures above show that even Crazy Britney© looked better in that nasty Eva Gabor wig than Ms. Taint. Taitz. Whatever.

I can just imagine the beginnings of the birther movement. Picture it, November 2008, the Taint living room:

"Oh my God. We did NOT just elect a Schwartzer to the White House. That just can't be true! No! I'm going to put my head in the oven right now! But wait... waitaminute... maybe he's not really an American... that's right, that's the ticket... ohmygod... it has to be true... he was born in deepest darkest Africa and not in Hawaii... ohmygodohmygodohmygod..."

Karen Reeves, 44, was sentenced to 150 days in prison and her daughter, Christie Myles, 22, was given a 24-month supervision order.

Canterbury magistrates heard the pair, both of The Halt, Whitstable, carried out a campaign of hate between 13 March and 17 May 2007.

They called the men names and Reeves drove her car at one of them.

Reeves and Myles were sentenced following a four-day trial in April.

'Showed no remorse'

The court was told that the pair began abusing Michael Harris and Shires Crichton, of Kingston, Kent, when both men sided with another neighbour in an ongoing dispute.

During the sentencing, the chairman of the magistrates told Reeves: "Although there was no evidence of violence, the psychological effect on the victims has been far reaching.

"In your case there are strong aggravating factors. Those factors are that you made homophobic gestures and remarks over an extended period and you showed no remorse."

He conceded that Myles had been influenced by her mother and played a junior role in the abuse.

Reeves and Myles were also made the subject of a restraining order banning them from the village of Kingston for five years and having any contact with Mr Harris and Mr Crighton.
The pair's defence team said it would be appealing against the sentence.

Britain seems to be in the midst of a sea-change when it comes to GLBT equality, in that the courts there are starting to punish hetero citizens for anti-gay harassment. Can you imagine a similar verdict here in the U.S.? The right-wing christianists would explode with indignant fury. How dare we advocate prosecution for bullying and harassment? They're just exercising their God-given right to make our lives miserable.

I should add that the attached photograph of these charming ladies appears to indicate that (a) it was humid in Britain when this image was snapped, and (b) young British women might be more into the Goth scene than any of us realized.
